New Years Eve Charity Shotgun Bowmaker2002 was dismissed in style with a Shotgun Bowmaker in aid of the Captains Charity with 72 players teeing off in near darkness.
Teams were invited to bid for the best starting point. Bidding was fierce, as nobody wanted to start on the 9th. 18 teams of 4 were given the off by two fireworks set off into the 8a.m dark skies, many teams at the far of the course needed torches to find their way to their starting points. The eventual winners were Club Captain Dale Loughran with Steve Smith, Rich Gill and Steve James.
In total over £500 was raised for the Captain's Charity.
