                      STOCKWOOD VALE GOLF CLUB, BRISTOL

             SENIOR MEN’S OPEN 2024 Wednesday 1st May 2024

Eligibility:  Men aged 55 on or before date of competition

  • Format: PAIRS BETTER BALL – Handicap allowance 85%
  • Team Prizes: Team Prizes for Overall, Visiting Pairs & Home Pairs (home pairs include a home and guest playing together)
  • Prizes: Nearest the pin on Holes 2, 4, 6 & 12
  • Entry Fee: £50 per pair for non-members – payment online
  • Entry: Entry Information on Golf Empire or contact Lee on [email protected]
  • Raffle: Raffle tickets will be available in the clubhouse bar at registration in support of the Seniors Captain Charities (cash only) supporting Cancer Research UK & The NSPCC

 Stockwood accepts card payment only. The bar will open from 10am for drinks and bacon rolls.

Before 10am coffee can be purchased by token obtained from the Pro-shop.

 

  


Facebook message from Andrew Pearce – Season 2022
Thanks for all the good wishes for the Seniors Avalon inter-divisional final today, which was held at The Mendip, vs Isle of Wedmore.
Unfortunately, they proved to be our bogey side again, and they ran out 4-1 winners in the end. They were the only side that we didn’t beat (at their course) over the whole of the rest of the season.
Despite the disappointment of coming second in this, it has still been a superb season for everyone associated with the Avalon Seniors team: 11 wins out of 12 to win the North division by nearly 30 points; winning the Shackleford Trophy (best points per game average over all 10 Avalon divisions), plus getting to this final. In no previous year did we even get higher in the division than 3rd place (last year), so this was a huge step up from then.
I’m really proud of how everyone in the squad has pulled together and supported each other in getting the best team possible out for each match.
If you’re a Senior, and interested in playing in these matches then look out for the signing up option in HDIDO early next year.

The 2022 SVGC Seniors Pairs Open can be booked via golf empire – Somerset listings

SVGC are now using the Howdidido web site facility to publish tee times and to enter Club competition scores – including the Senior’s results

Besides the normal competitions, the current Merit and Eclectic standings are also listed
